Medicaid is changing July 1, 2021! There are new Medicaid insurance health plans in North Carolina and you need to pick a Medicaid insurance health plan so that your child can continue to be cared for by our office.
You should have already received a letter and additional information from North Carolina Medicaid’s Enrollment Broker. This letter gives you information on the changes and asks you to choose a Medicaid insurance health plan and primary care physician (PCP) or one will be chosen for you.
Our practice is serving the following Medicaid insurance health plans:
WellCare of NC, Inc.
United Healthcare Community Plan
Healthy Blue
AmeriHealth Caritas of NC
You can find additional information and enroll at https://ncmedicaidplans.gov/enroll. After choosing a Medicaid insurance health plan, you will then choose a primary care practice (PCP). If you want to continue to be seen by Blue Ridge Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, Inc., make sure to select us or one of our providers as your PCP.
Remember if you do not choose a Medicaid insurance health plan or a PCP by May 15, 2021, you will be auto assigned to a plan and practice that may not be us.
If your child sees any specialists you should also contact those offices to see which Medicaid health plans they will be accepting.
If you have questions after you receive this information, please call the Enrollment Broker at the number listed on the packet or our billing office.
We are a Costwise provider for the State Health Plan. Their fiscal year in July 1 – June 30.? If the required deductible has not been met for the current year, full payment is expected. If the deductible has been met, we will accept the copay.
We will gladly file any services rendered to patients with a valid Blue Care Tennessee or TennCare Select insurance card. If a valid Medicaid card is not furnished at the time of visit, the guarantor will be responsible for all charges.
As a courtesy to our patients, we file claims for all insurance companies. However, because Blue Ridge Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, Inc., is not providing insurance coverage or acting as an agent of the insurance company, any disparities on claims reimbursement must be handled between the patient and the insurance company, The patient/guarantor will be responsible for payment on the account until any problems are resolved.
ALL INSURANCE CLAIMS LEFT PENDING AFTER 60 DAYS WILL BECOME THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PATIENT/GUARANTOR. WE WILL GLADLY ASSIST IN RESOLVING ANY DISPUTES REGARDING INSURANCE PAYMENT, HOWEVER IT IS UP TO YOU TO CONTACT YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY OR HUMAN RESOURCE CONTACT REGARDING NON-PAYMENT.
